So, without any spoilers - PLEASE- , how was Terminator: Salvation? Is it worth the price of entry? I haven't heard a thing about it, which is... weird.

Jonesing to see Trek again. Cannot wait until payday.

P.S. Kris Allen is too freaking adorable for words.

The movie tries way too hard to be more serious and thought provoking than its predecessors. Even the film's presumably main character, Christian Bale's two-dimensional John Connor, seems insignificant and mindlessly boring next to the much more interesting cyborg character Marcus, played by the ever dreamy (!) Sam Worthington. Furthermore, the story wraps up too hastily and without ever providing much insight into the actual intelligence behind the machines. There were too many wasted opportunities here.

Overall, while the movie has some great action scenes and special effects, this all seems rather dull in light of the incredibly disappointing and, at times, very silly plot. My advice to you: wait for Salvation to be released on DVD and go see Star Trek again instead!

^this.
I agree with your criticisms. The movie wasn't half as emotionally engaging as T2 was, and while I'm willing to cut it a lot of slack because a) T2 is my all-time favorite movie, and b) it's a different type of flick this time, I was disappointed in the emotional coolness of the whole thing. I didn't get emotionally involved with any of the characters, but the action scenes were primo.

It is worth the price of entry. If you are broke, see a matinee. It's not T2 by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not T3 either (ugh.

I want to drag Christian Bale/John Connor into a dark closet and rip his clothes off.

A city built on rock and roll would be structurally unsound.

I haven't seen the new Terminator movie, am gonna wait for the 3 dollar theaters where i can have pizza and beer at the same time...because this makes anything better. The Star Trek movie however is awesome...i have a burning need to see it a second time!
