One King's Way
You too, Aubrey.

Would you still be interested in meeting in America, when I go there in December on the One King's Way?

I'm glad, I'd like to meet you too. My current job makes travel quite likely, though I have holidays of course.

The quick answer is that it's a book, by Harry Harrison. It refers to a legend that anyone who wants to be over-king of Scandinavia has to walk a circuit through all the lands, the way of the title. Part way through the book the lead character decides to risk it all on a snow crossing to try to turn his luck around -- as I did some months ago, which is why the concept appeals.

So it's the same concept of a journey I make involving turning my luck around... like a lot of my goals it has a name for memnonic purposes. The most well documented and successful of these goals has been Damascus plan, which was fulfilled by my current job. One King's Way is another, and there are others...

Well, so far, in chronological order of me thinking of them, we have Return of the King, Damascus, One King's Way, Starkindler, Nicodemus and Numenor. The latter 4 were made up in an attempt to try to replicate the success of Damascus; I have a tendency that, if something works or proves appealing, I apply complete overkill. So far Damascus is the only one that's shown any realistic degree of success.

There are far more negative goals that I've set, though, ones that haunt me to this day.

The Curse of Feanor runs long...

There's numerous subjects I try not to think about at all. Often I fail.
