(no subject)

i woke up in a better mood this morning, thank you all for your well wishes and priceless advice!!!

and sorry to all of my newest friends, i promise i'm not always this whiny!!!!!

so, time to hop in the shower and get ready for job interview #1: receptionist at the security place.

i need to print out hard copies of my resume, which turn out looking... interesting.. because i'm out of black ink, and my printer is moody at the best of times... so it's in red and blue ink.

nothing like patriotism to show eagerness for a new place o employment, eh?!? *nudge* eh??! *nudge, nudge*

and... though i haven't really brought up the war at all, and have been almost actively ignoring it (other than the statue attack this morning), just from hear say... is it just me, or has this war been a lot of:

"we killed Saddam!!"
"oh, no.. sorry, that was his son."

"hey! we killed Saddam today!"
"no, wait.. heh heh.. that was a cat.."

"hooray! three cheers for the death of Saddam!!"
"woops. that was a tree trunk."

is he alive or dead?!?

1 down, 2 to go..

back from the 1st interview.

a girl was interviewed right before me, i heard them laugh once, at the end, and i thought "geez. sounds like she has a good repoir with them...*sniffle*"

then i went in.

i had them rolling in the aisles the whole interview, we cracked jokes back and forth the entire time... they laughed and said "you can start immediately, right? be back by noon? ha ha ha..." they said that they would know for sure at the end of today or first thing tomorrow, and that they were certainly looking for someone that could keep the office dynamics going, because it was a small office with only 5 people in it, so the person they hire would certainly need to fit in.

i certainly felt the dynamics.

this would be for only $10.50 an hour, no chance for advancement, not really any overtime. i would be a receptionist, period, and help others out as needed.

out of the 3, this is my least wanted job. as wonderful as the girls were that interviewed me, if it came down to this job or washington state, i would probably choose wa.

im hungry, so now it's on to grab a bite to eat/something to drink, like a beer (juuuuust kidding. *snark*), and then off to interview #2, for the property management position.

2 down, 1 to go....

back from the property management interview.

good thing: i interviewed with kim. she drug in the property manager to interview me after that. she drug the DISTRICT manager in to interview me after that. we hung, we chatted, we chuckled, they gave me a pamphlet at the properties i would be working at, should i be hired.

bad thing: if they hire me, i prolly won't be starting for two, maybe even three weeks or MORE.

i have my last interview, for the manager and trainer for a new call center down at the chinese cultural center at 3, giving me 3 hours to kill. i think i'll go have my taxes rapid refundeded.

so, the score so far?!?

75% going to washington state
25% staying in arizona

i keep playing over things in my mind, like how great it will be to be around my family again and such, and all the new opportunities i'll have up there, the new experiences, the new friends...

... the new start...

granted, this will be different than any of my other 'pick up from a state and move somewhere else' moves, because i actually know someone there.

granted, it will be SO hard to leave everything here, to leave everyone.

granted, i will probably want to strangle my family within a week of living up there, being in such a confined space together.

but i'll be home.

after ten years, i will finally be home.

and the verdict is in...

if everything goes smoothly *knock on wood*...

... this time next week, i will be in vancouver, washington.

God help me.

i'm sorry to all those that i am leaving behind, all my friends, my band....

just know that i will do my best to never lose contact, and that i'll always be here in spirit.

God bless.

again, i'm sorry.

but would any arizonans be available friday or saturday night, so that i can officially say goodbye?!?
