so, i had gone to michaels last night, begging to be put to full time, and was turned down.

then they call at 7 am to ask me to come in for another full work day, and i turn over and go back to sleep, telling brosely to tell them he just couldnt' wake me up.

stupid, stupid, aubrey.

course, i still RECOIL at having to work both jobs, two days in a row. two and a half days in a row, if you would consider the fact i would have worked both today, both tomorrow, and then open wed morning.

sometimes, i just don't know what to do with my life.

i was discussing Sloan with mom this morning, and how i 'miss' them. i played some of their songs for her, she enjoyed enough to request a picture of them. so i went and grabbed my cover of Twice Removed, because i couldn't find the freaking cover to anything newer. (as i type this, i recall that every single thing newer than this, other than OCTA, was stolen from my jeep, so i HAVE no newer copies of anything. grr.)

her and i got to talking about bands and music and such, and how it seems to be a family tradition type thing that all of us know all sorts of obscure music, and how we inadvertantly turn others onto their music. i've shared the blessing of music from Sloan, Jellyfish, Nickel Creek, October Project, and Jason Falkner, along with the splendour of a Better Than Ezra live show with others, made them 'believers'. tee hee hee.

the power and wonder of music never ceases to blow me away. i feel sorry for those that don't feel music as intensely as some others do.
