lessee...

i have two pairs of pants on.
two pairs of socks on.
three shirts on, one long sleeved (the other my office max polo and under tee).

i have an extra pair of socks to take to work with me.

let's hope that it's enough to keep me warm.

it's currently 15 degrees outside.

they said it's below zero with the wind chill factor, and that there are 50 mph gusts.

argh.

i'm scared.

I've actually found that layering like that, particularly with socks, doesn't always help much. I think it's because it restricts the movement of your digits. I'd suggest some nice long underwear (the silk stuff is supposed to be good, and maybe cuddle duds?), wool socks, boots, and thinsilate things. Hats keep in a lot of heat too, and scarves can do more than you think.
Though personally, at 15º I might actually notice enough to remember to zip up my coat, and I don't tend to wear a hat or ear things until it's below zero, unless there is a nasty wind and I'm planning to be out a long time. One of these days I should buy some long underwear for myself, too. ;)
