hee hee @ metal bands...

i was craving old hair metal, so i currently have on random on my mp3 player:

Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Slik Toxic
Spread Eagle
Lord Tracy
Tyketto
Great White (a song or two)
Tesla's greatest hits
Lillian Axe - Poetic Justice and Psychoschitzophrenia
Faster Pussycat (the first one and Whipped, i can't find my Wake Me When it's Over, unfortunately..)
Kik Tracee - Field Trip
Baker's Pink

i really need to dig through my cd's and find:

Faster Pussycat - Wake Me...
Kingofthehill
Lillian Axe - Love and War
The Front

hrm.

*runs upstairs*
*runs back down*

i found the above treasures as well as:

Child's Play - Rat Race
Death Angel - Act III
Nelson - After the Rain *snicker*
Excentrics - Why the Long Face?
Bang Tango - Psycho Cafe
a mixed cd from one of the Foundations Forum with Faith No More, Fates Warning, Babylon A.D., Savatage, Sleeze Beez, Shotgun Messiah, Mordred, and Cats in Boots *giggles heinously*

i also found my Pariah, Tora Tora, Two-Bit Thief, but they stayed upstairs...

i have been craving old hair band music for some reason lately, though i think that it may be because for SOME reason, whenever i oversleep on my days off, D.A.D.'s "sleeping my day away" song goes through my head, which is funny, because i was never really a D.A.D. fan.

maybe i'll even pull out my old headbanger's balls tapes (i have almost every single headbangers ball recorded from 89 to 93, from adam curry to when it was cool, to when rikki rachman sold out...)

anyone else have any silly old hair bands that they still listen to to add? and please, if you're a lurker, i would still love a comment on them from you, even if it's anonymous!

On a semi-realated note, I'm going to see Vince Neil, Ratt and Slaughter.

I won tickets on a radio station...I think it might be fun...

i had thought about calling in to the radio station that was giving away Kiss and Poison tickets...

... then i rememberd that i don't have a car, nor have any friends with vehicles that would appreciate the show nearly as much as i would.

even if it were to just giggle at them.

I'm not a lurker, per se, but I was looking at Chirogrl's friends page, and I just had to comment! I wrote a whole post last month maybe about how my 24 year old girlfriend has no idea who Queensryche is, and hated my Operation:Mindcrime indulgence. What's more, I think listening to that album at such an early age colored and influenced my hopes, dreams, and aspirations!

And come on, Bang Tango? You rock!!or at least, did!!

Other music: Dangerous Toys? LA Guns?

omg, i totally forgot Dangerous Toys, and SO have their first cd laying around here...

i should really dig through all my old tapes, which is where the REAL old school bands lie, i.e. Hurricane, Beggars and Theives, Trouble Tribe, Danger Danger, Babylon A.D., etc!

I'm re-discovering Loudness, a sort of KISS meets Van Halen metal melange from our tiny short pants wearing friends in Japan, specifically the "Thunder in the East" era. There's something about their impossibly long guitar riffs and questionable English thats endearing more than its laughable. "Crazy Nights" was a bit of a hit I think.

i remember Loudness, though i can't recall much of what they sang...

egads, i miss that era. if nothing else, than for life back then (minus the whole high school thing...)

i never enjoyed larger concerts.

not that queensryche would really be constituted as a large concert anymore...

i still love concerts, i just hate not having the transpo to go to them.

Office Max had a thing on sale this week, it looked like an old fashioned stereo, only on a much smaller scale, and it had a turntable, cd player, cassette, and radio (all it was missing was the 8 track!)

i almost got it, but i should be saving up for a car instead, and didn't want to shell out $80 for it...

although the saving up for a car thing is still a flimsy excuse, as we also had a sale on 3 bookcases for $40, which i got - my excuse for THAT is that i STILL have no furniture after my move!

motorhead! well that's a duh one.

van halen was a big one of my youth. hehe, just recently i had been listening to a cd a friend made for me, "very metal" but it was a pretty wide array of bands. clutch, deicide, phantomas, melvins. alright. can't think anymore. need. more. coffee

i'm still working on mine right now, though it's 330pm.

it's my day off, and i always hate myself for not accomplishing anything on my day off, though when it's actually my day off, i don't feel like doing a damn thing, yanno?

i really had to cut back quite a bit. i think i was drinking so much i could have been counting in pots instead of cups possibly. felt so unhealthy.

and i do know! well, for some reason i always don't feel too bad for not accomplishing anything on my day off. weird? i never feel like doing much except recreatition.

sometimes, i don't even feel like doing THAT. my roommate's boyfriend is staying with us for most of the summer, and he cleans and cleans and cleans, and i don't and don't and don't, lol!

sort of helps motivate me a teensy bit to get off my derrier!
