Rufus is the only guitar i've ever met who goes sharp with time instead of flat.

superfishy's guitar (formerly mine), the "Duo" goes sharp if you look at it funny. He let me take it to Atlanta for "album #2 sessions" to use on this one particularly fuzzy song. I got this crazy idea to whack the headstock of it against a baffle at the beginning of a guitar solo to make that "bbnnng-------ZZZH!" sound but instead it went "thronk" and went a full step and a half sharp.
jimmyether stopped the tape afterward and cautiously said "I think you may have gone a little out of tune in one part."

Oh it happens, believe me. Guitar manufacturers claim such changes occur according to temperature (cold weather contracts ie increasing string tension, warm weather expands ie decreasing tension) but I think the pesky gee-tars do it simply to annoy, because they know it teases.

I have had guitars where all the strings got sharper together so the whole guitar was still relatively in tune, but all the strings were at least a semitone too high.

THAT'S what rufus does, goes sharp all together, in the same exact amount, so i feel that i'm still in tune... until i try playing something along with a track, of course!

My guitars tend to do that.
