Domo Origato, Mister... Jerkhead!

i had been concocting an entire entertaining story to tell you the idiocy of what i did today, but i'll just come out and tell you:

i accidentally wore two different shoes to work today.

keep in mind that i walk a half hour to work every day.
keep in mind that one of the shoes had about an inch of a lift in it, while the other had none.
keep in mind that i didn't realize the fact that my shoes didn't match until i was about 5 min from work.

no, i was not hungover, nor had i drank insane amounts the night before (only a couple of punkin beers). maybe it was something in the phase of the moon + the stars + the underbelly of my rising sign making out with the scars of Taurus. i say this because my roommate had an odd experience much like this. well, not like it at ALL. in respect for her, i won't divulge into it unless she chooses to do so. but egads, it was farking funny the next day.

i'm also unhappy that the work schedule for next week isn't out yet. ermyeeah. tomorrow is the last day of the week. turns out that instead of a human doing it, they now are supposed to plug in our availability and it shoots out our schedule for us. apparantly, Mr. Einstein Roboto gave people like Muriel an 18 hour shift (like 6 am until 1 am the next day or something like that), and other people some really wonky things. i would really like to know whether or not i'm working on sunday before saturday, but hey. that's just me.

Domo Origato.

egads, why am i so thirsty!

creeped myself out by reading www.johntitor.com for the first time since last year. nothing creepier than sitting in a silent house, reading tales of woe and future global distruction, and then having the phone ring shrilly RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. egads. i think there's claw marks on the ceiling.

Wow, your shoe story is even worse than my putting my pajama pants on inside out yesterday and not noticing til the next morning. (I usually change into pajamas the millisecond after I return from work.) Did you have to wear them like that all day?

I love the "Mr. Roboto" reference! I just got that song on a Styx anthology I got free from work, and can't wait to download it to my iPod!

yup, had to wear them like that all day - i'm the only person there that cashiers when they open up, so if i'm not there when the doors are unlocked, they freak. so i just went on with it, and showed everyone all day "you think YOU'RE sleepy, see what IIII did this morning?!?"

hee hee i love styx. i had thought that i loved them because of growing up with them so to speak (as i did with dr. hook, three dog night, little river band, eagles, etc.), but mom says she hates them. *shrug* i think they're fun.

It's actually Doomo Arigato.

Well, that's closer... romanizing the characters leaves some room for spelling differences, but it's generally written as "domo arigatou" (or arigatoo, but the last hiragana character is usually transcribed as a u in such circumstances, ie "ohayou gozaimasu" etc...

...

Gonna crawl back to my nerdspace now... XD

NOTHING is creepier than watching "the ring" and then as it ends, someone calls you.

theres nothing creepy about the ring, period.

is it redundant to say 'period' and then end with one?

is office max even open 24 hours?

although it would be harder on you, it would be nice to find a place other than wal-mart that would sell me sharpies all night long

thank goodness, NO, though during the week we have people there 24 hours a day, for overnight stocking and such purposes.

I've been to that johntitor.com site (I think via cruel.com) and read it over, its pretty much crap in my opinnion. Amusing crap, but I can't help its just some reverse Republican countermeasure or what (in cooperation with the Reverse Vampires), the amount of paranoia this guy has is really unbelieveable, he's also insanely jealous of us with our superstores, and it might just be a dispute with Sams Club or something that spawned this kind of thinking.

Sorry to hear about the shoes, but somehow I think Dr. Who'd have approved.

i've read over the site a lot, too. it definitely gives you some things to think about, though!

I've never worn two different shoes, but I've walked out the front door in my work clothes and my fuzzy slippers.

i've almost left the house without pants on MANY an occasion. i've also made it to my car with my remote control and/or house phone in my hand.
