in other other OTHER news...

oh my hell, it's 39 friggin degrees outside.

and me without a coat.

i had a coat, you see. said coat was buried under a bunch of things in our closet since last winter. i had felt that halloween was the most opportune time to get it back out, so i did.

to find it infested with wriggling baby spider pods.

*takes a moment to refreak out*

okay, granted, there was only one i could see, though after seeing that ONE, i hadn't felt much like inspecting the other white spots on the jacket any more closely.

so yes, here it is, 8 degrees above freezing, and me without a coat.

My God.

I would have died, right then and there. Shit...did they like...like...get on you??!

Kinda reminds me of one of my sister's friends. She saw a spider on her kitchen floor, and, not wanting to smoosh it or touch it, covered it up with a coffee mug turned upside down.

She removes the mug 3 days later and thousands upon thousands of little tiny baby spiders go scurrying all across her kitchen floor.

basically, i pulled it out from under a pile of clothing or coats or whatever in the closet, and shook it out, in case there happened to be any spiders in it. i see a white tuft of something on the inside, and i put my fingers on it and pull it close to my face to see.

that's when i see a totally white spider, wriggling around inside it's sack, trying to get out.

i scream and throw it down on the floor, and see other white tufts, which i haven't checked out more closely yet to see if they're baby spider pods or if they're just white tufts on the faux fur.

and what about the SLEEEEEVES?!? *shudder*

im just thankful i saw it BEFORE i put it on. *even more violent shudder*

*also rereads your reply and squeals in horror at the baby spiders under the mug thing*

ooh, i so forgot to share the spider story with Pattie, my coworker last night. she has an even larger fear of the things than i do, if that's possible.

she told me of a story where she had done laundry and left her pile of clean clothes on the floor overnight, then picked them all up in her arms to carry upstairs... and found TRILLIONS of the little white baby spiders ALL OVER IN THEM.

she's still traumatized to this day.

as am i for hearing it.

i hate that feeling where the cold actually HURTS and you don't see a time when a) you were actually warm, or b) if it will ever end.

that's the only thing i hate about winter. generally, if i know i'm going to be cold and can plan for it appropriately, then i have no problems with it.

except, for some reason, at night when i go out with friends. no matter what i do then, for whatever reason, i can't get comfortable in the cold.

it's even worse in the morning when somehow no matter how man layers you have on it's freezing through all the layers.

or the cold is another factor when i have the hardest time getting out of my warm warm warm bed.

hee hee my roommate gets angry because i have the heat running constantly in my room: i hate coming home to a cold room, i'm sorry, no matter how brief it is! also, i cannot wake up at ALL if it's even slightly cold, so...

A long stick, hot water, & a washing machine
Those are all you need to take care of that problem. :)

i'm kind of liking it, myself. i'm so dreading summer again.

i just wish that certain arachnids were not inhabiting my biggest weapon against cold!

Spiders... horrible.

I wrote an open letter to Michael Moore about what we should do after the election...

Check out my LJ page to see it: ferris dabler

This sucks.

Re: ugh.
IT ONLY took me 6 months and many lessons on capslock, but i finally checked it out. it is beautiful.

it makes me sick to my stomach to think of all of the horrid changes that has already happened in this new term. i shudder to think that if things are this bad only 3 months into the term, how horrible things will be in another 3 1/2 years.

actually, i try NOT to think of it - if i did, i probably would never sleep again.
