the poodle is OUT.

today, we bought Bacci a shirt.

yes, we bought our cat a shirt.

i've always been totally against putting pets in clothing. it always makes me think of older women with either roofing tar black hair or punkin orange hair in curlers with little chihuahas that tremble incessantly.

but we were at Value Village, and found a stack of dog sweaters.

in it, we found a little tshirt, a baby tshirt for a dog, that says:

so we spent $3 and got our cat a t-shirt to describe what she really is around this house.

pictures to come, i'm sure.

hee hee. freaking adorable and hilarious. andrea's trying to figure out how to make her pants to go with it, because it fits perfectly like a tshirt on a cartoon character.

i so need to get a digital camera so IIIII can take pictures.

It's no a slogan, it's an order. You want your cat to attack the poodle.

that's IT!

unfortunately, she thinks humans are poodles.

heheeh I can just picture you giggling while putting the t-shirt on your cat.

Oh man how does she handle having a shirt on?

Also my mom has a chihuaha, luckly it's not the most obnoxious one of it's kind I've come across.

when we put it on her, she "ran" off... which basically consisted of her walking swiftly with her stomach on the ground... the shirt is army green and we were joking that she was running off commando style. it's like she doesn't know how to move in the thing. freeping hilarious!

Aw! hee! i swear i have never seen an animal that likes wearing pet clothes.

well, she doesnt' LIKE it, i think it just.. confuses her.

most cats that i've had, too, whenever humans laugh at them, they seem humilated. she seems confused whenever we sit laughing and pointing at her, almost as if she's wondering why we're making odd noises and if we're okay...

oh i knoooow, last cat i had seemed to understand me better then some people! he also would come to me when i'd whistle.

i miss having a cat...

we have to shake her treats can to get her to come running. the little ungrateful.....

anyhoo. i think she's since figured out the laughing thing as her ears go back in humilation now.

My cat would make me run when it wanted food or treats. Though of course the sound of any can being opened would have him running.

Aww. hehehe

the way bacci is now, whenever i open ANY bottle containing small, hard things, she comes running, i.e. vitamins, allergy pills.

i was part of the problem, i suppose. the first couple of times she did it, thinking i was shaking her treats, i felt bad and gave her a treat anyway.

she has me trained well.

cats will do that to ya. i spoiled my cat horribley. he some how got me to give him cornuts and chips. he loved 'em and it was a really really really rare occasion when i'd let him have either.

Fucking-A, that rocks! :)
Feb. 4th, 2005 11:28 am (UTC)
it does. unfortunately, ATTACK POODLE is written in black on a dark olive green tshirt, so it's not overly ledgible.

i think maybe today since i'm home sick, i'll see what kind of fabric paint i can come up with...

hells yeah! I've got a picture of our cat in a birthday hat, and that's priceless. you MUST post pictures of the t-shirt.

i so can't wait to get some pics of it, it's the freaking most hilarious thing evar. except that one thing. and that other thing.

but it definitely ranks up there.

and it's motivated us to go to PetSmart to see what htey have in the way of small doggy clothing ;)

i so want to take some and make them into icons.

Here are two random attack-cat anecdotes to amuse your socks clean. Or something. ;)

My dad used to have a Siamese cat which, every morning, would hunker down on the stairs lying in wait for my grandma. Regardless of how well she peeked around the darkened corner, she never saw him... but he pounced on her ankles (6am and darkish) and scurried off every single morning they lived in that particular house.

Different kitty, different house... of the five children of my father's family, there was one girl who didn't prefer the siamese. One day, as she was sitting on the couch crying about something, the kitty, curious, climbed on the back of the couch she was sitting (the couch was pressed up against a wall) and went to comfort her. When his whisker tickled her cheek, she smacked him back between the wall and the couch and continued crying. Few seconds later and *mreow!!!* Attack kitty jumps up from between wall and couch and proceeds to dig claws into the sides of my aunt's neck and take some nibbles. (As if you will diss MY comforting! Hiss) She screams and tries to beat the cat off, and the family just kinda sits there and laughs at her 'cause she's getting punished by the cat.

This has been a presentation of Attack Kitty Theatre with Ashley's Dysfunctional Extended Family.

omg, that's freaking hilarious, thank you for sharing! i love cat stories.

i was talking last night with faetal about how her and i sit for hours and laugh at the cat and tell each other stories as to what she did during the day while the other person was gone, and how non cat people hate us for it, we're certain. we try to explain what Bacci does to them, and they just look at us like 'uh huh. so anyway...'

but the fetching is my absolute favorite. i don't care HOW many times she does it, i will giggle myself senseless every single time i see her come trotting back to me with the ball in her mouth.
