Apr. 24th, 2005

someone pointed me to a link to the new up and coming ep of Family Guy. Lessee if it works, unkay?

The theme song to "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" is freaking AWESOME. It gives me chills every time. Done by a band called Origa, apparantly. Hrm.

I so need to catch up on my anime. What is WRONG with me? never even seen the original Ghost in the Shell, nor Vampire Hunter D, nore the majority of everything else.

But I've seen almost every Sailor Moon episode, thankyouverymuch. And quite a bit of Hellsing, though I always seem to be doing something else whenever it's on.

That so makes me sound like a dweeb instead of an anime expert *snark*...

Surprised to come home and find everyone still on my friends list. Wow. Thank you.

I love you, too.

edit: I had been greatly worried, but Family Guy has still got it, yo. I was afraid I would wake up the roomies, I was giggling so hard.

Granted, I'm certain that sleepy giggly time helped some, but still.

oy. 11 hours until I need to be to work. Methinks I'll get some sleep.

Heh. the only thing I've seen in 'recent' anime is a fansub of Fullmetal Alchemist, along with the first DVD of the english dub.

and I was hanging out at an anime convention last month. Go figure.

apparently my college has an anime club, which was handing out candy on valentine's (there was a sign and table up, though there was no one in sight.)

Thank you...I've wanted to know who did the theme song to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex for some time now. Away to Morpheus I go! Um...for completely legal non-copyright-protected-downloading-related purposes...of course.

oh, certainly certainly. the same reason that i get a lot of MY things from piratebay.org. they're the nice... legal... type of pirates, of course.

Darn you internet and my unwillingness to not do certain things anymore!! Bah

I will just have to wait till may. I too love the GitS SAC theme song, that tingly feeling sure is fun :D

Anyway the only reason that I' uptodate on liike all the cartoon network anime is my wonderful TV tuner card in my PC, Thats one of the best purchases I have EVER MADE!! Now if I could only get my cable to look better (I've got a plan) and an IR blaster so I can control my cable box and record digital channles too!

I know how you feel about letting your anime down lol, There hasn't been anything way out or non main stream since some channels started show it and I don't have the money, time and connections to look for antying that isn't on tv :( So now its like when I talk about it nothing seperate me form the kid that looks at tooanmi hee hee. However I would love to get my hands on Tenchi GXP I have the first few epps (from when I was willing to do stuff) and hell I wouldn't mind having every tench movie and episode!

Wow long reply isn't it! Take care :)

Re: *sigh*
i would still SO love to get the little doohickey that pops into your computer that plays actual cassettes and burns them to cd. i priced one awhile ago, and it was $150... i have tons of old hair metal tapes i would love to permanently back up!

we're finally selling something at work that burns vhs onto dvd. if we don't sell it at my work, apparently, i never realize that it's actually sold.

the gits theme goes through my head all the time now, i put it onto my mp3 player for my little walks to work, it's fantastic to listen to during my creepy 530 am jaunts!

Re: *sigh*
Wowo I didn't know that you really like anime or watched it that much :D

Did you like Ghost in the Shell stand alone complex? What about 2nd Gig, I really like the theme to that one too. I've got my computer set to record it and I've gotten every show so far. Maybe one day on my three day break this month I'll sit down and watch them :D

Take care

Re: *sigh*

I've been concerned about Family Guy largely because American Dad made me question Seth McFarland's ability to be original anymore. I'm hopeful, though.

My husband keeps bugging me to find the SAC theme song. He's in love with it.

The original Ghost in the Shell is very good. I haven't seen the sequal yet, but my husband said it was very good.

I've got the original Vampire Hunter D and Bloodlust on DVD. I'm so lazy though, every time I sit down to watch Bloodlust, I always pop the original in again. It's awesome, you should definately see it.

And don't worry. I'm pretty sure I can out-anime-geek you, so you're safe - there's always someone who's worse.

hee hee, well, i wasn't concerned about people being able to outnerdery me on anime (especially with MY friends list! ha!), but saying that i was a total geek/nerd because about all i had ever seen was sailor moon, which is pretty much the only thing that beginner anime people have seen (though i think in this decade, it's a bit more inuyasha, compared to the sailormoons of the 90's.)
Apr. 24th, 2005 05:33 pm (UTC)
you need to see bloodlust. I think it's orders of magnitude better than the original. it's available online, if you know where to look. oh, and have no scruples, like me! arrrrr!

i've noticed that with the new seasons that it's either a gigantic hit or a horrible horrible miss when it comes to episodes.

sometimes, i almost feel as if seth is out of creative new ideas and tries to just be as raunchy as humanly possible instead of funny.
