because madmadhatter told me to

01. Total volume of music files on my computer?
22.35 GB

02. The last CD I bought was?
The same day: Jason Mraz - Waiting for My Rocket to Come, plus the following Sloan albums: Pretty Together, Navy Blues, Action Pact, Between the Bridges, and a gift of A Sides Win. Amazingly, due to lack of transportation and lack of anything interesting to invest in, I hadn't bought a cd since...*thinks* replacing my How Does Your Garden Grow? by Better Than Ezra and picking up Flickerstick's Welcoming Home the Astronauts the same evening. I think that was VERY shortly after I moved in with andrea.

03. Song playing right now:
Sweet Baby James by James Taylor

04. Five songs (or albums I shall add: Ray) I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order):
for massive emotional nostalgia reasons (i.e. listening to them during landmark times fo my life):
Bangles - Different Light
Fraidy Cat - 8 Lives Left
Gin Blossoms - New Miserable Experience
R.E.M. - Out of Time
Lillian Axe - Psychoschitzophrenia

05. Which 5 people are you passing this baton to, why?
everyone should fill this shit out. I agree with Ray.

You really, really should.

What's fantastic about them is that first of all, their first five albums for sure each have a distinctive different sound overall, so that you can have something to listen to depending upon your mood or taste: Smeared is very hard, very raw, almost like a love affair between hair metal and grunge. Twice Removed, the one closest to my heart, is very early 90's alterna grunge without being overly so. One Chord to Another is more Beatlesesque, Navy Blues is more 70's rock sorta, and Between the Bridges.. well, it's basically one song. They wove all the songs into each other to make it so. Although it's my ABSOLUTE fave sloan album of all time, i don't recommend it to the new sloan listener.

what's more, is that within the band, each member writes and sings their own song, resulting in 4 distinctive sounds within each album. Andrew is morose and writes dark.. odd stuff... Chris is cutesy pop rock with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Patrick is VERY influenced by bands like ac/dc and kiss, and jay.. well, jay is just wonderful.

actually, after subtracting that, i have 90 some odd gigs left...

which is filled with purloined episodes of alias, sg-1, farscape, invader zim, mst3k, and teen titans, as well as final fantasy xi and everquest. it's tempting to delete both of those off of there, as i no longer play either, but if i ever choose to play again? loooooots and lots of patching time!

Aye!
I've just Finished Prince of Persia Warrior Within (darn it they are already working on another game >.<) and I'm not sure to delete it or not even though I haven't needed to patch it its just three cds! I could go into a whole paragraph of why games aren't released on DVD more than they are but eh...

I'm glad that since I've got the new drives I've got plenty of space for games but I doo need to back up and get rid of some TV though.

if i was smart, i would back up all my photos. i'm terrified of my harddrive crashing and taking all of them with it.

Yes you should do that right now, If you want I can give you space on my sever once I give you your account info all you have to do is download a program (Filezilla, just makes using ftp easier) and drop the files in and let it go, I'll keep it there and I ususally keep and eye on the health of my server. Haven't lost a thing yet *knocks on wood*
