the funniest thing EVAR was watching the highly choreographed fight scenes in episode III, then coming home and popping in ep IV and seeing the difinitive fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. it looks like they're both too old and arthritic to have a GOOD fight and that their light sabers weigh a hundred pounds. funny stuff, i tell you.

and i hadn't thought it would be so, but seeing ep iii and then watching ep iv, it helped me to see the '77 movie with a different mentality, almost through new eyes somehow.

and i still need to watch Empire Strikes Back.

okay. question for yous. i could make this into a poll, but then i wouldn't be able to see who says what.

"They" say ("They" being the Pulp Fiction writers of course) that you are either more of an Elvis person or more of a Beatles person. Which are you?

on the other hand, I say that you are either more of a Star Wars or a Star Trek person. Which are you?

what am i, you ask? i'm a Beatles/Wars type person, thankyouverymuch.

The Doors and Star Wars, mostly because Trek may be mostly entertaining to watch but I've never dreamed of being in the Trek universe. SW has a whole mythology and the mysticism of the force to go with it and Trek is almost pure technology.

now that you mention it, i think that's the reason why i love the wars movies better than all that is trek, too. come to think of it, maybe that's why i enjoy fantasy so much more than sci fi?

Beatles... always the Beatles..

However... The Star Wars/Star Trek issue is fuzzy.. cause a few years ago I would say Trek... even know.. it's pretty close...

I guess I'm that rare breed of sorority girl that just loves her SciFi/Fantasy in any form ;P

i think i just need to study up on my trek, is all. the older i get, the nerdier i become, so i think it's a natural transition, really...

I would say I am a Star Trek / Beatles person, slanting strongly toward the Star Trek side and very strongly toward the Beatles side (I am not an Elvis fan by any stretch of the imagination).

personally, i can't stand elvis, and don't know what all the hype was about him. i mean hell, he didn't write the majority of his own songs (sure the beatles did covers, too, but not ALL covers...)

plus, i thought he was too greasy/sweaty for my liking ;)

and i keep meaning to check out more Trek, but sort of have never gotten around to it.

I don't know about the Elvis/Beatles thing, but I'm definitely a Trekkie over Star Wars.

as i age, i keep scritching my head and having a slight more and more fascination towards all that is trek. I haven't watched any of it in YEARS, but I'm thinking that I have embraced my inner nerd enough that I can watch it with comfort.

(hell, if i can have full-fledged conversations with people in public about stargate without being too embarassed.... i think that's a step in the right geekery direction.)

I've heard that, too. Props to Elvis, but personally, I'll be over in Strawberry Fields if you need me.

Watching Star Wars and burning Star Trek stuff. ^^

But as for the two trilogies, I'm still too old school, I think. I saw ep III and was amazed that I liked it. But then again, I was geekily thrilled at all those scenes that mirrored scenes from the originals. Honestly, I saw ep I and was so horrified, I still haven't seen ep II. I did, however, read most of the Star Wars novels at one point. Haven't read for awhile, but I was told recently that Luke and Mara finally had a baby... o_O*

part of me wants to read the star wars books. egads, i so need to catch up on reading. i don't even HAVE many books anymore (having left my gazillions in phoenix when i moved!), and i still haven't read half of them!

sad, really.

I would be a Beatles/Wars person, I'd say. Yeah, Star Wars kick ass! I haven't seen the original ones in ages though!

Don't like Elvis, but I dislike the Beatles more.

I'd call myself more of a Star Wars person than a Star Trek person, simply because Wars seems to be less space travel, which bores me, and also because I've seen very little of Trek, so I don't really know.

I need to see Pulp Fiction... my favorite and most intelligent professor said it was worth watching, so there must be something to it.

a lot lot LOT of cursing in that movie (just like every other tarrantino movie.) and bloodshed, but overall, i think a very good piece of art. definitely a must see.

Well as you know I'm a beatles/wars guy, but I do like star trek as well I guess just slightly less.

i knew you had exquisite taste!

part of me, as i age, wants to explore more of the trek. maybe, now that they've had a 'prequil', i can start with enterprise?

just as soon as i'm done downloading all the alias ever created. and stargates sg-1 and atlantis. and battlestar gallactica. and scrubs. and 24. and buffy.
