you're finally acclimated when...

i keep thinking that i've become acclimated to the weather, when i'll suddenly freeze when it's 'only' 65 outside. i thought it was the same situation as i was sitting here in a tank top and shivering.

then i realized it was 45 degrees outside.

i so hope that this is a sign of what the rest of summer is going to be like. as much as i miss the feeling that my skin will erupt into flame at 112 degrees and all...

I use to do the same when I spent the summers in Tulsa OK and came back to Chicago IL, it would be 60 something at night and I'd want a sweater and pants LOL Now I say 60 is like the perfect weather :)

exactly! i don't even really need a coat at that weather now! however, with as cold as it's been here lately (35 ish on my walks to work at 530 am) it almost HURTS for the first few minutes, until my blood gets moving! (though i'm sure it's much colder where you are!)

The only thing I miss is the snow, not so much snow around here unlike when I was younger. However, I no longer have a vehicle and the one my mother has would not eat snow like an SUV so if we were to have feet and feet of snow... it wouldn't be so much fun as it is a hassle but I'd like to see it :)

45 degrees is summer for chicagoans, in fact 35 degrees is too. Ya made me think how you'll see people wearing t-shirts in 35 to 45 degrees, grant it ~ not everybody, but quite a few.[scenario] Ok so this is how it is, its been under 30 degrees for over 2 weeks and then suddenly ya get a 35 degree day and everyone will say its beautiful outside, its like summer they say. Uhhh yaeh I need to move in about 15 yrs cuz Im sure I won't be saying stuff like that for long........

i discovered today that the magic temperature for me is 45 degrees. anything above, i can swathe myself in stuff and be fine. under, i'm whining like a freak.

we recently had a 'warmth spurt'.. a bit higher than 45, with sunshine and all. we were all in paradise.

alas, it only lasted 2 days, and now we're frigid and soggy again.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, and as I child I must have had leather feet because I can remember being able to stand barefoot on asphalt in the summer and not really being bothered by it.

Now I have lived in Portland for 6 years, and my body has apparently decided that 65 degrees is the perfect temperature. When it gets up to 80 I start complaining about how hot it is...

i think the perfect temp for me now is around 50 degrees. i love being able to wear a hoody and not really have to bundle up, though 45 is better, as i can wear the loverly scarves that my friends hath made me.

i'm already dreading the summer, though i am quite sick of being soggy.

Spirits, I would kill for it to be 45 here right now...

ME, TOO. though it's been getting down to 50 at night, it's 71 degrees out right now. not horrific, but cheez, i'm sick of the sun!
