craving recommendations!!!!

it's been a few months since i did this, so go here and post recommendations you have for me! and if your personal recommendations have changed or if you can think of anything else you want me to check out, feel free to add!

went to bed early last night and was excited about the prospect of waking up nice and early in response, so that i would have the WHOLE day ahead of me. alas, i slept 11 freaking hours and my morning is gone.

but that's okay. that's what days off are for.

also looking for recommendations of other lj'ers that you feel i would get along with that is not currently on my friends list, kthx.

mmm. coffee.

Ok, variety the spice of life... right... so.. here goes... bands I'm recomending you don't already know, worship, or send sacrifices off to by mail:

Bands/Singers: Matisyahu, The Redwalls, MC Chris, The Residents, The Blue Van.

Songs: "Los Tres Delincuentes" by Control Machete, "Funky Ceili" by Black 47, "Ferry Cross the Mersey" by Gerry & The Pacemakers, "Through Being Cool" by Devo, and "Frijolero" by Molotov (but only because its been in my head for 24 hours plus straight).

Books: "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino, "The Thackery T. Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric & Discredited Diseases" Edited by Jeff Vandermeer & Mark Roberts, "Naked City" by Weegee, "Wind, Sand & Stars" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and "Word Freak : Heartbreak Triumph Genius Obsession World Competitive Scrabble Players" by Stefan Fatsis.

There! Looks like I was in a tex-mex mood crossed with "I'm so hip" music choices of the kids these days. No fear, I'll be back to Dio and his ilk soon enough I'm sure...
