sitting at home, having a Kill Billathon. not a bad way to spend a day off.

the last day off before the wedding NEXT weekend, so i'm torn between wanting to accomplish THE WORLD, and just sitting here, collecting dust, and doing NOTHING.

since it seems to be a million degrees outside, methinks i'll do the latter.

finally got my bridesmaid shoes, they're quite ballet slipper looking, pink and everything, to go with the shiny lavendar. although, since their soles are pepperoni thin, still quite a bit of hemming needs to be done. funny, i never felt short until i put on that dress.

i lie. the first two things i learned in working retail again: i'm not as TALL as i thought, and i'm not as STRONG as i thought.

eesh. a part of vol 2 made me almost panic, i almost had to turn it off because i couldn't handle watching -that- by myself. funny, that never happens. it's going to go on my list of Last Possible Ways I Wish to Die, right along with By Fire, and Electrocution. *violent shudder* i need movie buddies.

Forgive me if I'm not too sympathetic about your weather. :P

But just three short days, and I'll be happy. :)

Oooh! I think I shall have a Kill Billathon tomorrow, since it's my day off. Thanks for the idea! :)

i always think i'm tall, maybe cause i never go anywhere without heels, but i'm always brutally reminded of how very short i am. (sigh) 5'4" and a quarter. unless i'm in heels then i'm somewhere between 5'6" and 5'8". i like to think i'm capable of anything, pride makes me feel taller than i am i guess, but when there's boys around who are tall, i instantly ask for help (claiming to be too short), although i think that has to do with something entirely different...=) "excuse me , you gorgeous man, you. Can you help me?" (batting of eyelashes, as i play helpless maiden in distress) but it only goes for heighth, because i'm way too cocky for my own good about being strong. i think i can handle anything, and i usually can, but then i can't move the next day... (sigh)

ha ha, this totally reminded me of myself in phoenix!

i always said that it was SO much better to be an intelligent brunette than a cutesy blonde, because then we can pretend to be the other role whenever it suits us ;)

and it also sounds like me at work: i'm constantly jumping on the possibility to pull furniture, because i love seeing the look on big burly men's faces when i come up with a dolly, rolling a gigantos desk in front of me, or carrying a gigantos chair in a box. unless, of course, it comes to getting giant boxes down from way up high: i don't do too well with rickety ladders.

i used to always wear really tall shoes, too, but left all of them in phoenix, like a dummy. i miss them.

just testing the time stamp, ignore me
May. 1st, 2006 03:15 am (UTC)
i don't ignore you... i just... inadvertantly postpone you.

hooray for my procrastination. my avoiding my math essay is resulting in my finally getting caught up on a lot of these. the fact i shortened my friends list by 200 people is making it a lot quicker than it would be :)

kill bill
I've never seen either of those. Are they just 'action' or do they actually have characters and meaning?

Re: kill bill
i... really need to see those again. what i remember of them, they're quite violent with regards to it being a typical quentin terrantino movie, and that the cinemetography was excellent, though it was cheesy in parts with HOW gory it was and how exaggerated some of the scenes were (the legendary uma thurman in the yellow jumpsuit attacking practically half of japan scenes, for example.)

basically, once upon a time, (and the details are a little hazy here because it's been awhile since i've seen) there was this guy named Bill, who had all these girls working for him, with different snake names, i.e. Black Mamba. They were a tight bunch and doing... i dunno, let's say hitman type work, and were best in the business. Uma decides to leave when she discovers she's pregnant with bill's baby and is marrying this man. bill retailiates and brings in all his girls - the entire wedding party is slaughtered before her eyes and she's shot in the head after being shot in the stomach to kill her child. the movies are her story of exacting revenge, showing her deep emotion vs. their - for the most part - colder personalities.

i think they're worth watching at least once. they're an art form in the way that i feel most tarrentinos are art forms. although a lot of his stuff is violent and beyond ridden with the 'f' word, i love how his movies are different than a lot of typical movies out there. same reason why i love the View Askew movies, too, i suppose.
