i'm grumpy and in a MASSIVE amount of pain. i think my foot is swollen now, and it won't stop screaming at me. if nothing else, i can hit the free clinic tomorrow night or something (if anyone is bored and wishes to hang out with grumpy me there/be my driver. otherwise, i can hobble to the bus stop on wednesdnay morning.)

Is your toe/foot discolored at all?

You should have it up with ice for 20 minutes and then off for 20 minutes. And get your brother to get you some ibuprofen.

And as much as a sneaker might hurt, it's the absolute best thing to have on it right now.

I'm thinking you broke your toe.

The two things I most recently grooved on were both relatively old: Deep Forest Music Detected (kind of 'world techno', the song "Endangered Species" rocks my self-centered little world) and Smashing Pumpkins Adore. Also, I did just totally impulse-buy the Switchfoot album, and will shortly be annoying everybody down the hall from my office with "Stars" turned up to eleven.

Sorry about you foot. I would definately hit the clinic tomorrow and get it looked at. If you weren't halfway across the country I'd spot you a ride.

Music , hmm I have been in a veery eclectic place lately with music.

Flogging Molly, Anoushka Shankar - Rise , Fionna Apple - Extraordinary Machine.

I wish I could buy you a car. :(

Ouch, I hope your foot is better soon!

from what i hear, if you break any of your smaller toes (ie, any other than the big toe) usually they just tape the hurt toe to a neighboring toe to keep it from moving.
alternate ice and heat to bring swelling down.
i should be available tomorrow night, i think, i have to take mom to the radiologist in the morning, but after that i think i might be free.
am like halfway done with your cloak...

if i broke anything (though i wonder greatly how i could break something in my sleep), it would be my big toe.

if you're still bored this evening, i may SO take you up on the offer, as it is SO much worse today than it was yesterday (i could almost not walk at all when i woke up this morning.)

or if tomorrow morning is better for you...

i think i'd rather go tonight cause i hate mornings.
Lemme know with enough advance (ie. at least an hour before i need to come pick you up) that you want to go for sure, i've been sewing and away from the computer, but i should still hear my phone if you call, i'll check my email every half an hour or so..
I need to shower and such before i go anywhere, and I need to call my aunt this evening (but i could step outside the free clinic and call if necessary.)
Anyway, as long as you can handle hanging out with me, and need to go tonight, let me know soon so i can wrap things up and shower and such

mmmm shower. i should really do that, maybe even a HOT bubble bath to soak my shoulder that's been killing me lately.

ooh, and rice bag. loooovvvvely rice bag. i thought about commissioning you to make me rice bags of all shapes and sizes so that i can put them on various spots at once!

Another GLU fan!

What did you think of their last album? I couldn't believe it when I bought it.

Do you know why they left?

Did you ever get a chance to hear them live, did they ever do anything live?

What the heck I did't know any of that?

I did enjoy the last album too, sounds like it was heavily complress like ogg or the new gone TwinVQ... I dunno.

Man that is sad to hear, I will look that up, thanks.

I've been listening to "Tears for Fears" for days. I have no idea why. They rule.

Damien Rice, "O". AWESOME! Has a couple songs that they've played on "Lost".

Also love the new System of a Down song, off of their new CD.

Music, music, music... let's see now:

The Girls in Hawaii - From Here to There (Hard to find this album in the US, but it is great. you can find songs online, I think. They are from Belgium.)

DJ Format - If you can't join 'em, beat 'em

Nostalgia 77 - The Garden

Blanche - If we can't trust the Doctors

Ditty Bops - self-titled (and these cuties are also taper friendly, so go to archive.org and search on 'ditty bops' and you will find a bunch of live shows you can download.)
