random statements in lieu of an actual post. or IS this an actual post? hrm...

nothing overly interesting to report, really.

i did more research as to what i need to do to get my financial aid approved, and the form i need to print out from the website, now that i have ink for my printer, is currently unavailable online. *shoots self in head* soooooo, i need to go down there anyway, aaaaand i want to get my math books before the used versions of them are gone, so i was all ready to race down there on the bus system today...

and then i came to my senses and realized that for the next three days, i have four hours between shifts, with nothing to do, so that would be theeeee opportune time to go do it, instead of today, which is my only afternoon to accomplish things at HOME.

so why do i feel a massive burning pull to play everquest? grrr. evil evil stuff, it is.

i also have my new dvd burner in my lap, and am preparing to shut down my computer completely to try to do the nerdy girl thing and install it myself. i always love figuring this stuff out. that is, until something goes awry, and then i have no patience at ALL to do anything other than stand here and flap my arms like a landed duck and proclaim myself incompetent and howl for assistance from my even nerdier friends.

the snow is all gone, as it warmed up and rained in the night. boo, hiss. my brother and i did walk up to the store to get something to eat, and rather enjoyed how peaceful, pretty, and quiet it was out yonder that way *points*. (bacci tries to eat my jingle bell antlers i am wearing) we ooh'ed and aaah'ed as a car here and there would be trucking along quite fine, thankyouverymuch, and then suddenly have its ass end try to beat the nose end in speed, causing all sorts of nifty automobile ballet.

i so don't want to work this week. i'm freaking sick of working two jobs. good thing i only have two weeks of it left. i had turned in my two week notice at michaels on saturday. i had expected.. i don't know what i had really expected, maybe a 'aww, sorry to see you go!' or possibly a 'well, thank you, we enjoyed having you back!' but instead, i got a "ooh, perfect timing!"... um... que?

as i have probably stated a lot lately, i am becoming addicted to my friends, the close circle of friends that i have hung out with almost exclusively for the last couple of weeks. it's now been a week since i have seen them, and i am jonesin' something fierce. i'm trying to assure myself that i shall see them all on friday for andrea's photoshooty birthday party. right? RIGHT? tell me you'll be there, with cameras on. i'll bring my antlers and my hair gel.

i am very pleased to see that at least ONE of my communities, nickel_creek, is going splendidly. until this one, i don't think i was ever able to get one that had more than 30 members. and in the event of already whoring myself out, i shall point out dreamers_online for dreams and interpretations, and paste_and_plato for all that is Jellyfish.

last night as i was headed up to bed, i peeked out the front door again to see the peaceful snow fallen outdoorsy thing again.... at which point bacci DID bolt outside and around the corner into the bushes. GAAH! so 2 am found me outside in my pajamas in flip flops, trudging through the snow, my language going from coo'ing at bacci lovingly, to calling her all sorts of evil names. i finally shoo'ed her back inside, the jerk.

you know that the magic of the holiday season has officially been leached out of you when you look forward to Christmas as not a time to spend with loved ones and trade gifts, but a chance to get two freaking days off in a ROW.
