just finished watching A Clockwork Orange because... well.. i had never seen it. for considering myself pretty "cool" in most circles, there's a lot of poppy cultury movies i haven't seen. since i've been a part of netflix again, i have also FINALLY seen Garden State and Say Anything.

any other suggestions for me? some that you think is OBVIOUS that everyone on earth has seen because it's such a part of movie HISTORY?

please do tell.

i think i'm sick. i'm going upstairs for my 2nd nap today.

Re: have you ever seen....
i wasn't overly impressed with Something's Gotta Give, but that might have been one of the instances where i heard sooooooo many praises about it everyfreakingwhere, so that when i actually got around to watching it, i had really high hopes... but then again, i also remember getting sidetracked a lot every single time i've tried watching it. so maybe if i'm tied to a chair? i loved Nicholson's later acclaimed movie What About Schmidt or something like that. good flick.

ooh, and i've seen A Perfect Murder, too!! I remember thinking it was a good movie!

Added the others to my queue, thanks!

ooh, good movie! although i've seen it before, i put it back in my queue, because it's been a long-arsed time since i've seen it.

which also brings me to other movies i had the ending ruined for me, but that i want to watch again, a la sixth sense and fight club.

A Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
The Lost Boys
The Breakfast Club
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Those are just a few off of the top of my brain...

Rocky Horror is a MUST see for eveyrone. :) You'll never be the same once you get addicted to it. Seeing Tim Curry prance around in heels and fishnet does things to your mind.

Haiku Tunnel
May. 24th, 2006 05:08 am (UTC)
Well... I saw Easy Rider recently... if you haven't seen it, I'd say definitely pass on that one.

Okay, I'm going to really agree on The Lost Boys (corny as it is), Boondock Saints (is that new edition out yet??? ♥), every Monty Python movie (which A Fish Called Wanda practically is) and pretty much everything else blinkilite said.

And I'll throw in The Hunt For Red October, The Lion In Winter (with Peter O'Toole & Katharine Hepburn -- very important, that is), My Favorite Year, A Hard Day's Night, and My Cousin Vinny, most of which you've probably already seen. ^^
May. 24th, 2006 05:54 am (UTC)
Blade Runner (long but good, really deep)
Tank Girl

Dancer in the Dark. hee hee :) I've yet to watch my copy

May. 24th, 2006 01:28 pm (UTC)
American Beauty
True Romance (I reccomend this 38492834x)
Resevoir Dogs

Some are super campy and some are just really good movies. :)

and may I add Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and the Royal Tennenbaums? OH ALSO the George Romero trilogy, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead. That is, if you like zombie movies that are well made.

Four Rooms
Donnie Darko
Grosse Pointe Blank
Hi Fidelity
