boughted things at a pawn shop yesterday on my way to band practice:

Extreme II Pornograffiti
Lucious Jackson - Fever In/Fever Out
Barenaked Ladies - Stunt
Adam Ant - Wonderful

hell, they were only $3 each. almost picked up Spacehog, too, but changed my mind at the last moment.

also bought Legend of Zelda - Windwaker for $15, which is ADORABLE. i'm just an idiot when it comes to swinging off of lamps or throwing bombs. or doing anything, really. ALMOST bought the platinum edition of Zelda for gamecube that has EVERY zelda ever released on other consoles (that i know of) including the original and supernintendo and ocarina. had it on the counter and had handed over my card and decided to peek inside to make sure it wasn't too scratched... and someone had stolen it. and it could have been MINE for $35. now i must find one.

how many of you play world of warcraft again?

had an adventurous trip home from band practice with LOTS of crazies, but i'm too lazy to post about it now.

edit: okay, maybe not EVERY zelda, but it still sure is spiffy. and i want.

Good luck on the collector's edition. Cheapest I saw it for was $40-45, so whoever yoinked it must be made humble.

And which self-titled Seal album? 1991 or 1994? (Sad thing: I have all but one of the CD's you got. Not much for the Extreme.)

in retrospect, i'm kinda wondering about the extreme, too.

and it's the 94 self titled.

sweet score

You know why someone stole it aside from it being awesome?

That game was only available new with a certain version of Game Cube and so hardly any used game stores will have it because technically they are not supposed to take it as it's one of those not labeled for individual sale type deals.

Fo' sho, I was with my brother when he asked a guy about it at EB Games.

I hunted down a copy on ebay and ended up getting it for about $40 including shipping... and I have not put the thing in the game cube even ONCE, though I've had it for over a year. Yup, I wanted it THATBAD.

I got Windwaker for Robert for Christmas...along with the complete Sonic collection (I got him a GameCube and went with the classics to accompany it :-P).

sonic is another game i keep meaning to check out. now that i'm not as poor as i was in my childhood/teenagehood, i want to suck up all the things that i heard about happening around me that i hadn't had a chance to experience myself.

Games are one thing we're never really short on around here - we're both pretty loserly gaming nerds. We're too broke to go with the next gen stuff that out/coming out, but with this last Christmas, we've got the Gamecube, PS2 (my personal favorite), XBox and PSP. And for some reason we have three original Nintendo consoles...two I'd get, because we each had one when we got married, but I think he had a second one for some reason we've never figured out. :-P

i recently found all the cords from my snes while i was going through stuff in my bedroom, which i had been missing for YEARS. unfortunately, i have no idea where the console itself still is, or if it even works anymore.

and i'm beginning to become more comfortable with my geekery. i'm going to be making a t-shirt or two to actually ADVERTISE this fact (maybe something like GAMER or NERD. for certain, including the period at the end) so that i can possibly get the kind of boyfriend i want, dagnabbit ;)

Steamwheedle Cartel server (RP server) - Griffonclaw (which is just a Hawk's Fist, right?). Punching out micros like nobody's business for the server in general and the Hammer of Magni guild in particular (they even gave me my own forum! Whoopeee!).

it also doesn't have the suckass zelda games from the phillips cd-i system. the gameboy zelda games are supposed to be pretty good too. the new one coming out, the twilight princess, is the only reason I got a gamecube to begin with.

i saw that i can get the snes version of zelda (my favorite so far, but i've only played two until last night!) on gameboy from amazon for $15. i shall keep my eyes peeled at the stores i go to and see if it turns up there instead. i'm more of an instant gratification type girl.

if you want to be a true pirategirl, you can get most any old game on an emulator. I've got tons and tons of them. only I'm not a pirategirl.

I would be surprised if you were! I have dealt with emulators and stuff in the past and never had any luck with them saving the game - QUITE frustrating after putting in hours to have it maybe save, maybe not.

So now I own a DS and just buy whatever old games have been redone for that :D

Adam Ant RAWKS my friggin world.

I'm a WoW widow, so I way too much about it for someone who never actually plays. ;-)

You can never go wrong with a copy of Seal's first album in the player!
