i shall take the fact that i took a 24-hour allergy pill last night before bed and another 24-hour allergy pill this morning, and the other fact that i still am DYING under the sinus pressure and sniffles and sneezes and watery eyes as a sign that i am, indeed sick. neveryoumind that i sound like i swallow cheese graters on a regular basis, or that i barely have strength to lift my coffee mug to my face.

also because of the burning desire to just sit and play RPG's all day, and because i'm overdue for one, methinks it's a sinus infection. this also means, i will probably be feeling like this for the next 2 1/2 weeks, until it has run its course.

meh. who needs hearing in their left ears, anyway? who needs to get ready for lots of singing at a concert in a couple of weeks? who needs to be able to have the mental capacity to work for 30 hours a week and memorize all of the endocrine, skeletal, muscular, integumentary, and digestive systems?

aah, that's right. ME.

grar. i would so retaliate... if i had the strength.

and, by a show of hands, how many of you were there back in my aubreystar days? i'm so excited to know that so many of you have been with me for such a long, arduous journey!

*doesn't raise hand*. I haven't been around that long. But I hope to remain here for the duration.

And so you have! I'm thankful for that :)

I'm glad that you are my friend as well. I think it's always been important to me to be a quality friend that is neither a flash in the pan.. nor a distant one. I want to be a friend that's constant and reliable.

I think we've become very good friends over the last year or so.. and that's always a good thing.

Indeed. I'm never the best at responding or always reading, but your presence is always felt and appreciated, if that makes sense.

*raises hand* me!

Well, duh ;) You've been with me from almost the womb!

That'd be me, gal.

Absolutely, and I'm glad that you have been!

I've been massively craving apples, I have! I never seem to remember when I'm actually at the store, though.

Alas, I don't go that far back. ::cowers::

THe last really nasty illness I had that really floored me was when I had to fly to Philly while I was sick. I couldn't sleep on the plane because the air pressesure change painfully trashed my hearing. I was pretty much cliniclly deaf for the entire trip, and I ended up taking a couple days off afterwrds to recover.

But hey - you were one of the very few people that came to my going away party when I left Phoenix, though we hadn't met at all at that point, and I'm thankful for that!

Ugh, that sounds like a tortuous flight. I flew once when I had a massive raging sinus infection, and I remember how absolutely painful it was, even for days after.

No doubt - it still blows me away at times to know that I've been with lj for six and a half years now, though I can't imagine life without it. So many wonderful people met and doors opened for me because of it. It makes it that much more sad to see so many people leaving because of 6A.

*Raises Hand!*

I'm probably one of few who hasn't changed his name...
Jul. 19th, 2006 07:57 pm (UTC)
Heh...I even have my original icons...
Sep. 20th, 2007 11:07 am (UTC)
I remember, back in the day, surfing the internet during work hours to make icons and stuff. I shudder to think of how much more money I would have made commission wise had I actually been working instead of lj'ing.

You worked for that travel agency in Az. back then didn't you?

I can't imagine having your income depend on how many people you can close a deal with...I can't convince anyone to do anything!...
Sep. 18th, 2008 03:46 am (UTC)
Yep, sure did. Having to rely on that very thing is why I never want to work in a commission based situation again. Not only do you not have a reliable paycheck due to the economy or even just having a bad run, but it causes angry competition between coworkers, too.

Seems like u always have sinus infections :(
I hope u feel better
Sep. 20th, 2007 11:08 am (UTC)
I even had surgery on my sinuses a few years back to help correct the ongoing sinus ick that I seem to get. It helped greatly and I only get about one a year now, instead of FIVE. They generally put me out of commission for about two and a half weeks each time I get one, so it's a nice change, I suppose.
Jul. 20th, 2006 02:28 am (UTC)
Nope. Afraid I haven't known ya that long. Alas.
Sep. 20th, 2007 11:08 am (UTC)
But you've known me for a very long time, though!
Jul. 20th, 2006 03:51 am (UTC)
Didn't know ya back in the day and all, but I do LOVE your Get Fuzzy icons. One of my all time fav comic strips (with the Original Bloom County being number ONE! OOP ACK!)

Re: hmm
Aww, thank you! I'm glad we met.

Sorry I'm only from the Next Generation but I"m still cool right?

*hugs* I know you can do it.

You're one of the ones that I know I will know for years and years to come, for which I'm greatful!
