heh, i thought it was a live action film at first, too. hellz, they're making live action transformers and other things, so why not dragonlance?

as long as they do all of them! and do them WELL. they have virtually no animation up yet, and i haven't been too overly impressed with what i've seen.

i mean, hell, it's much better than i could ever draw, but still.

That rocks. Except I wish it was live action instead of animation. :/

me, too, though methinks that they have a better chance of making it good animated, instead of live action, as most likely the live action would beyond flop unless they did it on the scale of lotr, which i don't foresee them ever doing to any story ever again.

I remember a Dragonlance radio play being transmitted here in the UK in the mid-80's. Can't remember anything about it because I didn't actually listen to it (because we were playing the D&D modules at the time and our GM forbid us to read nay of the books or listen to the radio show to stop us from knowing what was going on :p).

aww, i think i would have loved to hear that! i think dragonlance was the second fantasy series that i fell in love with (the shannara series being #1, which is what got me into the genre to begin with).

EEEE. I can't wait. I am quite a huge fan of tasslehoff and also master harper robinton in those series. I hope it's a good film, I think McCaffery would be sorely dissapointed if it didn't follow her line of thought.

are you getting two series mixed up? i've never read any mccaffery, nor remember a harper robinton. the series was done by weis/hickman?

maybe i just need more coffee this morning!

I watched it a long time ago. (I even own it) They didn't mess with the story at all.. however the animation is such a mixture of styles it's REALLY distracting. It's like they outsourced the animation to different companies based on the funds they had. The voices were done right at least.
