no hearing in my left ear. delicious phlegm. the physical and mental capacity to do nothing more than lay on the floor and play rpg's. (xenogears, in this case) yup, must be a head cold. i'm even dispassionate enough about things that i didn't object too much when i realized that i missed some VERY important things to learn early on in the game and ended up having to start over completely. meh. shrug. all that jazz.

drugs effect different people different ways. i discovered last night walking around work that dayquil makes me feel like a disembodied torso on someone else's mechanical legs.

being sick also makes me say things out loud that i would normally keep to myself. for example, last night doing paperwork with Roxana, i blurted out "why have i been clenching my butt muscles the entire time that i've been standing here?"

damnit, where's my fucking camera? the cat is being cute.

i got roger joseph manning, jr's debut solo effort in the mail + bonus tracks from notlame records. yay.

gifted tea tastes the best. thanks, andrea.

we have Real Cable again. i spent last night flipping back and forth between Three's Company, Adult Swim, Animal Planet, and reruns of Law & Order and CSI:miami. i also watched the Colbert report and the daily show... OH how i love jon stewart. it makes politics FUN. my favorite skit that had me GUFFAWING for hours was his demonstration as to how bush's attempt at connecting the war in iraq to the war on terror was like connecting a normal, every day plug in to an.... avocado. you can MAKE them connect together, but the avocado just doesn't turn on. and then you end up with guacamole all over your plug in.

That's a nice, err, snotball pic you have going on! Gets the point across quite well. ;-)

Get better soon! Unless of course, you want to use the cold as an excuse to get caught up in your gaming...

that's TOTALLY what i'm using it for.

and it's also an excuse as to why i keep coming back and updating this post with more inane lines of sctuff.

Awhile back I wrote a friend about a boyfriend I created out of phlegm and ballistics gel when I had that awful cold a few weeks ago. I named him Phlegmitt :)

Much love. And whyeverfor ballistics gel?

In my weird brain status today and my odd antsy-ness, I so read your icon as "I can't believe I'm not buffed!"

LOL@I can't believe I'm not buffed.
Even fits better with his freaking out face since in WoW raiding without buffs would produce the same reaction.

Ballistics gel becuase it was supposed to be close to human flesh I think, so with phlegm and gel, I could mold it into ..well...a slimy human without bones. Apparently this was what I was looking for in a man at that time.

Sigh which reminds me about that one friend, I thought he was soo cute and funny..and I always had a crush on him but then he dated some other LJ girl.
But that's neither here nor there.
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I went with other people since I didn't end up with a jw anyway. I wonder if I would be happier. I guess that's a bad thing to think but seeing as we are living in different apartments, I'm going to bed alone every night and so much has been said and done to me that counseling seems like scotch tape on the hoover dam.

Funny you should mention the Roger Manning CD. I took advantage of the NotLame offer as well, ordering it back in Sept. I received the disc (and the bonus disc) days after it was released, but I realized this week that I hadn't received any additional info on the additional bonuses, especially the download-a-week bonus. I emailed Marlene at NotLame and asked about it, ending with "Was there an email that went out regarding the extra bonuses that maybe my spam filter caught by accident?"

Imagine my surprise when an email shows up from Bruce advertising the L.E.O. disc (which I will be ordering, as should you if you're into ELO and Jeff Lynne, which it would surprise me if you were not), prefaced with a note to those who ordered the RJM disc that included the line "There was a *lot* of great info in the email and, for some, it's possible it may have been caught in a Spam filter."

Just found it funny. Man, I love NotLame.

Anyway, I've got to get back to my job, which is, of course, doing my job. Hope you feel better. Giggling a lot always works for me. :)

I was very sad when those free downloads went away. Not that I ever really listen to music anymore, other than on my walk to and from work. Though, if I were a good girl, I'd hit the gym MUCH more often than I do, which would greatly increase the music listening!

I also saw that they're releasing Vol. 12 of the IPO - SO many memories from that series, especially Vol. 2. I can't believe it's already been that long since it was released!!!

I got my first taste of it (and volume 2) when my brother and I had driven out to L.A. for the weekend from Phoenix to see Sloan. One of his long time teenage friends from up here in Washington had just moved down to L.A. with his mother... who just happened to be the wife (or girlfriend or fiancee', can't remember) of David Bash (yes, THEE David Bash). I remember sitting with her and hearing her tell the story about how she had gone to Jason Falkner's house to pick up his track for that and how star struck she was, and how he had been completely nervous about sharing his track and what she would think of it. She sent us home with a copy of Vol. 2 each, and several other cd's she loved, including The Oddz, Naked Chollas, etc. Great times :)
