Come fly with me...

Mom is out of the hospital, came home same night, in fact. Thank you all for your wonderful well wishes and groovy thoughts. I talked to her on the phone yesterday, and she said that she had been prescribed some antibiotics for her leg ulcers and had followed the train of thought she always had - that you should take a double dose initially to get it into your system. After READING the bottle, it says "May Cause Dizziness."...... *forehead smack* Needless to say, she's feeling worlds better and still supposedly cutting back on the sugar, as she realized that - OHMYGAW - she feels better when she consumes less of it.

I managed to hurt my left wrist somehow. It feels like something needs to pop in it, and it kills me to type. Shrug.

Nothing much else to report, really.

Except I wish my allergies would move to Brazil and STAY there. Sheesh.

Oh, and some birds set up camp in a vent almost directly beside where I lay my head at night. (un)Sweet.

Guess who may be moving to your neck of the woods this spring??? In which case, guess who's gonna come squeal like a little fangirl at your shows?? :D

I am -- a bunch of my writing pals have talked me into it, and after visiting twice, I must say I like it a lot. One of my front-runners for dog-friendliness is in Vancouver, as it happens. It's kinda hard to move with 2 "large" dogs.

I'm surprised that more places aren't dog friendly - if it's one thing that Portlanders is known for is their love for dogs.

I prefer to live in Vancouver, anyway, as I don't have to pay state taxes or property taxes + get all the benefits of living close to the city.

I think the problem is mainly the size/breed -- I've got a boxer mix who weighs 55 lbs and a shepherd mix (big fat fatty pants) who weighs 105lbs. A lot of places have weird weight restrictions, and others consider shepherds to be a dangerous breed. *sigh*

I would think that there are WAY more "dangerous breeds" out there - most of them bipeds ;)

I'm really glad to hear your mom is doing better. I hope she learns to take care of herself. *hugs*

Me, too. Thanks, dear.

I am glad your mom is doing better. I hope she takes better care of herself this time and does what the doctors tell her to do.

One can only hope. I had thought of turning her into Oprah, writing a very compelling letter that would blind Oprah with its wonderfulness and heart-tuggings, but... that takes effort.

God bless your mother and enjoy the birds

Ha. I get more enjoyment out of 60's (or was it 70's?) supergroup The Byrds.

Okay, awful pun. Shoot me now.
