shave and a haircut....

So I got ANOTHER hair cut yesterday. No pictures to show yet, but I CAN say that it's short enough so that no matter how I move my head or how the wind blows, there is no way to get hair in my eyes. I CAN tell you that we're looking a bit shorter than the first time I chopped off all my hairs, which can be seen in the icon on this post. My hair is also currently 100% my natural color, something it hasn't been since.... well since the photo I linked to you was taken, and that was in March of '04.

I gave my work heart failure last night when I broke the news to them that I can no longer work Saturday nights as of the end of April. Between Electric Doormat performances and choir performances, I would be able to work one saturday out of ten, so... it's best that I let them know now so that they can find someone for me to train to do the ad every week. I've done the ad every single week that I've worked for the last TWO YEARS. Supervisors Liz and Yancey freaked out, exclaiming they didn't have anyone else competent enough to do the ad every week. I told them that it's too bad, they have a couple of weeks to choose someone. Besides, if I end up taking the summer off of employment, they'd need to do that, anyway.

Um... nothing else to report, really. School is going and is going well for the most part. I need to get Bacci some new food as I tried to feed her something more healthy and she HATES it.

I also hate this time of year because it's COLD when I leave in the morning (well, 42 degrees, I suppose I can survive w/o a coat) and then will be 75 by the time I hit work, which has become HOT to me. I'm already hating the weather.

I'll take your weather gladly! Our curent temperature is 25-26 degrees with a wind chill factor of 17.

I would almost rather have that weather! I hate anything more than about 65 degrees, which is funny as when I first moved here four years ago, it hit 70 degrees and I was outside in a makeshift parka, I was so cold after living in AZ for eight years!

You know, I've heard you say before you've done the ads and it always has me wondering, do you mean the ones that go in the paper or the ones ahhh... that go... somewhere. I only know the ones that go in the paper, and either way can you take a pick or to and point to it like "see right there, thats my doing!" I'd much appreciate it.

Oh, no, not the ones that go in the paper. Each Friday, I spend the majority of my shift printing out extra signage from our intraweb, making copies and extra signs for other things, taking the package of official signage from FedEx and organizing it all. Then on Saturday, I come in and finish preparing what I didn't finish on Friday, run around the store and remove all the signs that are expiring that week, and then put out all the new signs for the ad the following week. It's a giant giant job. It's funny because if I do it several weeks in a row and I have a rough week where I don't get it all done, I get hell from coworkers cuz I'm OMGSOSLOW, but when I'm off one week... It was refreshing to hear that three coworkers trying to do the same thing didn't even come CLOSE to what I could do in one shift, and it had to be finished the following week and was screwed up for DAYS.

So basically, the signs in the store that hang down from the actual thing on sale, as well as anything hanging around in the store telling about current promotions and flyers for in store unadvertised specials.

Re: One more thing...
Oh, it went wonderful, you mean the meme posted on my journal? I made a private post with some of the more wonderful things that were said, to come back to when I need a pick me up.

Thank you :)

Me, too! I'm sad that I'm no longer a part of them, but I will continue to help them progress and be a cheerleader.
