I got my period today.

I'm quite shocked! This makes two this month. Granted, the first was on the 4th, and it's now the 30th... (it IS Monday morning, right? I get confused on this schedule...) but usually it comes about a day earlier than it did the next month, meaning I wasn't really due for about another week or so.

Though that would explain why silly things on teevee have been giving me a weepy lump in the throat over the last couple of days.

Huh.

Usually, I run like clockwork, so I always scritch my head when Something Changes.

Almost wish I could have another day off work to just SIT here. I feel better today than I did yesterday, when my right shoulder and hand were kuh-ILLING me, but I feel as if I could still sleep a few more days.

Um... nothing else to report, really.

Anyone see the simpsons movie? No spoilers, please, but what did you think?

Edit: After thinking about it a bit, it's like my uterus doesn't have any feminine pull from anyone else for the first time in its life - seriously, the only people I ever spend any time with whatsoever now that I'm on graveyards is Ted, Yancey, Jess, Dan.... all MEN. I can't think of another time when I have been completely cut off from the female species. So, maybe it's regulating itself er sumpthin?

p.s. it was the full moon last night, and this does influence women's cycles in general!

Is a second period in a month called a "blue period?"

I saw the Simpsons movie and loved it!

That's 2-0 for those loving it so far, so maybe I will go see it. I still need to see Potter and Transformers, two movies that I think would be better appreciated in the theatre.

I have a silly sense of humor, so maybe I WILL go see it. I wasn't impressed at all by the previews.

Ha ha, I was so into that show when it first started this season, but now I'm never up for it! Is it close to the ending now?

I think they're at the top 10 or 12 now. I always get sad to see people go toward the end, cause they are all SOO good. =)

I'm not looking forward to bleeding again. I've been without a period for about 19 months now.

Ha ha, maybe super dry tampons? Those hurt like teeth sometimes.

And that reminds me that I still haven't bought my stupid hippie blood cup.

While I was on depoprovera, I went without for 2 1/2 years. I had thought about getting on that again once I get benefits, just so I don't have to BLEED. I'm not planning on even going through a "mating ritual" that I keep hearing about (sex, but with another person? Weird.) but it would be nice to not bleed. I've been getting periods for TWENTY ONE YEARS NOW, every single month (other than the 2 1/2 years mentioned above) so it's getting REALLY old.

what happened is you're syncing yourself with me all the way in NH. Same day! Hmm, I always throw my roommate off in school because I'm on the pill so it's always the same for me and then I start to notice my roommate slowly begins near me. It's kinda neat the way that works.

Yup. Most females that work or live together will end up with the same cycle, unless one of their cycles is highly unpredictable. I've even weirdly noticed that women that I'm close with ONLINE and I bleed at the same time sometimes, which is odd, but not overly plausible that it would be the sync-ing thing.

I've never spent any amount of time not around females at all, other than for five or ten minutes a week at most. I've always been about 30 days for a cycle, and now it's less.

'Splains why I'm bloated and wanting to scream 'GET IN ME' to any chocolate in the house.

During the process of growing up, and in talking to my male friends, it's amazing what you guys think happens, like my friend Joe thought you bled a thimbleful... No, it's a constant bleeding THICK blood for three to five days. I think it ends up being only a cup, but it seems like so much more, what with all the, uh... accessory changing you have to do. It never ceases to amaze me each month how much blood we "lose", without feeling ill or light headed, though I know it's just the lining of our uterus shedding itself (hence the cramps). Someone else thought we just... peed it out whenever we went to the bathroom, but no. If you wear pads, at times it feels as if you're sitting in warm pudding.

And there's your "Now You Know It" segment for the day ;)

LUVYOO!

Is it made of cheese?
It's the moon! I take the pill 3 months non stop and I still spot "pink" everytime the moon is full and my daughter always cycles then too. Crazy.

oh yuh. It's probably asserting itself or sumthin'. Mine always used to be aligned with the full and new moons - ovulate on the full, period on the new. But then I flatted with like, 6 women and was roylly screwed. Being with Tim the last six months in our new place is the first time in like, years I don't have any other females in the house, and it's finally taking itself back to the "old ways". I'm sure you were dying to know all that!
