Watching Queen of the Damned for the first time on USA. Huh. So I guess it's acceptible to make a movie after a book and only have the names of the main characters be the same. Granted, I only read the book once, back in '94 or so, but my memory hasn't been changed THAT much. Or, lost memory. Or something.

I planned on sleeping from 4 pm until 2 am, but, alas, I woke up at 10 pm with an AWFUL pain in my shoulder. Thankfully, I cleaned my desk off yesterday, so I actually found some pain pills - my shoulder still hurts, but I seem to not care quite as much.

I still dread moving freight tonight. Bleh.

This movie makes me want to read the book again, though I always found it very difficult to get into Rice books. I read them because I was going through my goth phase and felt it was a prerequisite - I even claimed to like them. I dressed in a long sleeved, full length black velvet gown with a thick choker necklace and my shiny blue-black dyed chin length hair to see Interview With a Vampire open. But I remember I really liked QotD, as it gave a fascinating history as to how vampires came about.

I thought I was going to add something else, but my brain just fizzled (smoke came outta my ears, and avrythang!)

One of the roommates has VERY blue hair now, as evidenced only by the bottles of blue dye and bleach on the bathroom sink. No idea which (though I have my suspicions!)

Re: yet another comment that isn't related to the post...
oh, and I've heard from several people recently that they use valerian root to help calm their cats down. you can probably find valerian root tea in a natural foods store - just tuck a tea bag in an old sock, or one of the cat toys that you can tuck catnip inside.

I'm sorry I hadn't thought to tell you of these things before... I don't even have a petsmart I can shop at right now, to help remind me of these things.

I had totally forgotten about the valerian root... She's been much better, for the most part - even greatly loving on Daniel (though she still hates my brother). Maybe she's calming down a bit in her 'old' age?
