Personally I'd rather see either Rudy Guiliani or Mike Huckabee, as of right now - But I'm not really committed to either candidate.

Super Tuesday (Primary voting in Georgia) is Feb 5th, so I'm going to do a lot of research between now and then to figure out which one I'd rather support.

...The token Conservative...

And now? :)

I don't want any of them, which makes voting interesting

I really wish Obama would have waited until '12 or '16 to run, when the issues about his not having enough experience wouldn't be a problem. That being said, I'd still happily vote for a Obama/Edwards ticket.

Seconded ... as much as i don't like O's lack of experience, I can't think of any other combination that doesn't make me want to move to Canada.

I listened to the whole New Hampshire debate last night on the NPR affilate in Houston .... and STILL can't decide who I like best.

He is the only one with a clean voting record. He also does not take money from lobbyists like all the others have been doing.

Kucinich. But it probably won't happen.

Stephen Colbert.

... Yes, I know. But I wrote in Mickey Mouse last time. And I still think the critter would lead the country better than any politician.

But I'm leaning toward Ron Paul this time.

Oh, and -- I adore the icon. Don't suppose I could borrow it? XD

a democrat who can win against a republican.
Joel says if thats anyone its Obama, because the republicans HAAATE Hillary... so, if those two stay in the front runners than.. Obama.
Dont get me wrong, I actually LIKE Hillary, but not for what she stands for necessarily, but because I think she's a bitchy, awesome lady who has put up with a lot of shit. I thought the Clinton years were fab, and what did.. someone say? behind every good man is a great woman? okay, so thats outdated as far as sayings, but still.

But still, my biggest regret about the election in 04 was that Kerry was not a strong enough candidate to beat Bush. (or the whole thing was rigged and I hate everything.) I know we talked about this before, as you actually really seemed to LOVE Kerry. I liked him because he was NOT BUSH.

As far as it goes, Bush will be gone some I am sorta starting to get a bit optimistic.

Joel says that the republicans are going to have a rough time this election because everyone is just SO tired of the current administration. or thats what he's read, but its what we're (the dems eh?) all feeling yeah?

I'm the WORST person to talk about politics though. I dont look into what people are for or against, or their voting record, cause half of that is crap anyway.... and it seems like most politicians cant uphold what they promised...
Also, being a country's LEADER seems to be an entirely different thing than all those other things...

mmm coffeee before politics next time mmkay?

I was listening to an interview with Kerry the other day at work when he was on the Adam Corrola show, and he gave soooo many delicious points about the steps that need to be taken and what order they need to be taken in, i.e. repair our relationship with the rest of the world that has been broken during this administration, focus towards a greener earth, etc. Made me want to hug him.

I really want Clinton to become the Democratic nominee and win.

Sadly, though, I have to admit I could still live in the US with any of the running politicans except for Huckabee. He scares the shit out of me, even more then Bush did when he was running.
Jan. 7th, 2008 06:30 pm (UTC)
Huckabee scares me too.
