There may be pictures and videos to come.
The facial expression in this icon pretty much sums up how I felt afterwards.
It's a good thing, I suppose, that I am being forced out of my comfort level on ooooooh so many levels to get out there, talk to people I don't know, sell my "product", and be in a situation where people have to pay to see me. But - oh, how terrifying it is. I realized that I was so much more terrified to go out there and schmooze than I was to actually get on stage and sing. Funny how that works.
Jes, Dan, and I left afterwards and caught a late night showing of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It was oooooooooozing with cheese, but was a fun movie, nevertheless. I kept having to remind myself three things:
1) This is a George Lucas film.
2) This is a Spielberg film.
3) This is an Indiana Jones film.
Once those three things were forcefully ingrained upon my brain and soul, I was able to enjoy the movie. (Though during times like when Shia was swinging through the trees like Tarzan, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.)
We tried to come up with other things that George Lucas has done besides Star Wars and Indiana Jones and came up empty handed. We thought we had some other stuff, but it turned out to be Spielberg, not Lucas. I guess the guy is a genius in his own right, since he came out with two main huge chains of movies and then made several lifetimes worth of dough by making even more movies, short films, tv series, video games, etc.... each branching off of the original idea. Oh, and the movie Willow.
