I've never been a person who gets migraines - I think I've had a total of maybe three in my lifetime.

Last night was a freaking DOOZY.

I couldn't fall asleep, the pain was so much. I felt like vomiting. One thirty rolled around, then two thirty. I think I finally fell asleep at around three, which is -yes- a half hour before my alarm goes off.

It feels a bit better this morning, but almost as if it's just lurking to the right side of my head, ready to pounce back in. I considered coming downstairs and looking at a schedule to see who works this morning and if I could call in someone to open if I were the only manager.

I think I shall try to brave it, though.

I don't know what you've tried already, but Motrin 400s were the only thing that even took the edge off my sciatic pain in the summer. They might help you at least stand it a little better.

I hope the pain goes away soon. That sounds horrible.

That was part of the irritation last night - I realized that I have ZERO meds in the house to help even with a slight headache, let alone a mild aneurysm. Well, I do have some heavy duty hard core pain killers, but since I was needing to wake up in two or less hours (which is how far away it was from alarm time when I remembered) I didn't think it was wise to pop them.

I also got to work and popped 800mg of Ibuprofin (I keep a giant bottle in my locker) and drank my weight in coffee. Things seemed much better after that sank in and I ate something concrete.

I get migraines or possibly just really bad sinus headaches from time to time, the only thing that works for me is 600mg of ibuprofen and sleeeeep! sometimes a hot shower helps. sometimes.

Oh, do I know about sinus pain! That's how I knew the weather was changing, I felt as if they were going to implode.. or explode... or just plode.

My dentist - while writing me a second prescription to Vicodin - told me that thee best pain killer is actually 800mg of ibuprofin. Stuff like Vicodin is good for taking the edge off faster, as ibuprofin slowly pushes it away, but overall... every six hours.

Yes, I <3 Ibuprofen! It's so not good for you, but makes everything so much better! When I get a sinus headache I take a decongestent AND ibuprofen. just incase it's a migraine and not a sinus headache lol

Ha ha! Depending upon the day, I sometimes take that much every day for hurting feet. I think that I'm starting to get a bit more used to being on my feet for 8+ hours a day and running around and lifting and climbing ladders and carrying, since I don't hurt nearly as much as I did at the end of last week!

Yeah when I first started working retail and then at the bank I would DIE after being on my feet all day. Then it just became as normal as sitting down, though sitting down is much nicer. Just don't take it EVERY day, bad for your liver. They say to take the smallest does possible too. So I still to 600mg unless I am DYING. And well, that happens too.

I used to be plagued with them when I was around 7/8 years old. I would always throw up. Every single time. It really sucked.

Ugh, I can't even imagine. I am not a thrower upper even in the worst of times... (This usually makes it quite a surprise when it does happen, as I never expect it. I almost feel like a 33 year old spitting up toddler. Sexy.)

People can't take me anywhere.

I'm just too loud for people to take me places

I think you should stay in. going to work may make your migraine worse

I went to work (thankfully, I got a ride, which was a nice surprise!) and informed them that I might be going home in two hours when relief got there, but after 800mg of ibuprofin and caffeine and food... I felt a world better.

MUCH, thank you :) It's just after 4 pm and I'm seriously considering going to bed for the night - if ya think about it (difficult for me to do on my 30 minutes sleep, hee hee) since my alarm goes off at 330am, that would be 11 hours, yes?

I'm just nervous that I'll fall asleep and wake up in five hours and not be able to sleep again!
