This was taken outside of the mall and I was in a dark brown hoody and a dark gray coat, so there's an idea of how hard it was snowing.
While we were there, we saw fantastic things like german shepards!
About 80% of businesses we passed on the way there were closed, but the mall was PACKED.
When we left, there was about three to five inches covered with a half inch of ice and a dusting of snow on top of that. When we left the mall, it had grown to two to three inches on the ice. It snowed heavily the entire time we were in there and for most of our walk home. It finally let up right when we walked up to the door on our return.
My walk to work tomorrow will be fun, I'm certain. I'm also certain that I'll be in for a long, slow ass day. When I called around 2 pm, they had had about fifteen customers total in over four hours.
I'm also greatly looking forward to Daniel's photos that were taken during our travels. As we left:
Daniel: I need to get a picture of you two! First, Aubrey!
Me: Make sure it's flattering!
Daniel: Yes, with all those layers of clothing!
Me: Make me look sexy!!
Most freeways are completely closed in Portland and Vancouver, and still no flights in or out.
