I forgot to mention that I signed up for this for 2009. My work sponsored a giant chunk of it last year, doing part of the walk and the run.

This is an excellent reason to start hitting the gym - even though it's a walk and I'm a pedestrian, you have to keep up a stiff speed to make it in time, and I don't walk nearly that distance. It's an extra oomph to get my rear back to the gym - since I have been paying for a membership monthly and haven't been since August.

I'll take whatever motivators I can get.

No lie. I downloaded 13GB of Tiny Toons episodes a couple weeks ago. YES.

fantastic! I want to do some walks soon. .. or runs. I was hoping to do some in january but I will not be ready for the 10k run in jan that I'd secretly hoped I would be.. hah!
Infact I would not be ready for a 3k run by january. Must start couch to 5k again.. blah
