Dec. 7th, 2002

in watching Yosamite Sam and Sylvester cartoons this morning, i remembered when i was working at the Warner Bros. Studio Store in St. Paul, MN, and they had just came out with this. ..and how much i would get a lump in my throat because of the sorrow it portrayed.

Mel Blanc was amazing and such a sweet person too. He was my hero when I was a little kid..

Hey did I tell you I worked at Warner brothers stores too? Just through Xmas....
...that was fun ;-)

Re: :-(
that's what they hired me for... cept i didn't work there that long, because i lived in a dorm and had curfew and junk, and they were NOT understanding of that, at all. they wouldn't let me leave to catch the last bus, saying that if i did, i wouldn't be employed, so it was either bum rides from coworkers i had just met, or walk through downtown st. paul at like 11 at night in the winter.

not fun.

Re: :-(
Ugh you poor thing... yeah they made me the only floor person when there were supposed to be like 4.. LOL that was fun..
then it was the stupid clean up afterwards and the continual folding and refolding of the shirts and clothes..

It was during the winter of space jam so they kept playing these stupid space jam videos over and over again.. ARGH!! I vomit when I hear "I believe I can fly"

Re: :-(
uuuuuuuugh. did you have the special shirt folding board, too, so that you were guaranteed all the shirts would be folded IDENTICALLY?

i can't remember what they kept playing when i was there... it was in 94, so whatever was coming out then! oh, i think it was tons of the batman stuff, and tons of animaniacs!

Re: :-(
At least they had variety, our Christmas tape was never changed..
we didn't have the folding board, we had to do it all ourselves without aid, then someone had to check and see if we were doing it right..

hehe did I ever tell you about the guy that got all ticked off at me, it was so funny, he came in wanting a 'mickey mouse sweatshirt' and I said "I'm sorry, we don't carry mickey mouse, he is at the disney store on the second floor" and he was all "Thats bleeeeeeeep" and stormed out..heheeh

LOL wow that's grand timing, a few weeks before.

As for my workplace, everyone is dying, so far we've had an autopsy every stinking DAY! and then there are all these neuropath cases coming in and I juuuuuuuuuuust remembered I tossed out something with a big ol stinking note on it...
great....
LOL well lets hope no one empties the shred bin tonight :-P but if so, I kinda remembered a lot of it.. so that's good..

Re: :-(
the chicken is only like $5.50, but sometimes, if you're under a certain amount, the card won't go through.

Re: :-(
I hate that.. it took Macys forever to raise my stupid balance, I kept paying off my credit card thing and they would leave it at 100 bucks LOL

Re: :-(
ironically, i had a $100 limit, too, but because of all the late fees, etc., my balance got up to OVER FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. eesh. so, i paid them off and they reissued my card, and gave me a $250 limit. i have been late paying them each month i've had it, due to the garnishment thing.

Re: :-(
HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah same here, even Victoria's Secret won't give me a stinking card. What is so sad is ..well it's not as if I dislike macy's , it's just their clothes don't flatter me all that often..so I can't buy much from there
