1st call: a lady who emailed me towards close of business today, demanding to speak to my supervisor, due to my lack of response. i explained that for the last two days, that we've been at less than half usual staff. her response? "is that MYYY freaking problem? you should be thankful we haven't taken legal course." call time: 45 min.
2nd call: a man who wants to book a week, but no matter how many times i explain something, he twists everything i say into something not even CLOSE to what was explained. call time: 30 min.
3rd call: receptionist xfers this lady to me, because she's tired of dealing with her. i go over EVERY resort in the caribbean for EVERY month over the next YEAR. everytime she goes to book something, i get halfway through the confirmation process, and i hear 'you know ... wait... let me check something else." she actually says with a giggle "hee hee. this could take all day, i called when it was before 10 o'clock,and now it's well after 12." call time for me: over 1 hour to get $10 in commission. (not counting the 1 1/2 hours she spent with the receptionist before me.)
i come back from getting a fork for my burrito to find half of it missing. i finally locate the other half in my desk drawer later.
is today over yet?!?
