I had planned on watching the series finale of ER last week. I was excited that I was off work at 7 pm, which would be perfect for coming home and watching the starter festivities. I haven't watched ER much in recent years, but used to be super ERbsessed, so I figured I would wave farewell to it with everyone else.

For some reason, my television no longer gets NBC. Or ABC. Or SciFi. (SyFy? Thanks to Mr. Colbert, I want to call it "skiffy".) Basically, channels 2, 3, 5, 8, and 59. Random, much? I just get an error message reading "This channel will be available shortly." Well, it's been five days now, which is hardly "shortly". I called Comcast, they had me check all the cables, which are all intact. Comcast Guy then says he can send out a tech, which will be $27, unless I sign up for a surge protection plan for $1 a month or somesuch. I told him I would call him back and have just made do without those silly channels.

You would think that since I live literally a half block from Comcast that it would be easy to motivate myself to go there to exchange cable boxes and stuff.

I suppose I should stop perusing my friends list and get shoes on and head to work. I can already feel the weird shakiness of sleep dep setting in.

I would also like to know what the hell is up with my complexion lately. I'm having flashbacks to my icky acne teenage days.

It's supposed to be 72 degrees today.

Those last two statements are not related, that I know of.

If you can't get it on Hulu.com or on NBC.com, I happen to still have the ER finale and retrospective on my DVR. I also have (I think) DVDs and a burner connected.

Let me know.

Comcast BLOWS. I can't even begin to explain the hell they have put me through.

As it stands right now, they have approximately 7 accoutns listed for me. One is shut off due to lack of payment, one has us listed as having DVR (they never sent us a box) and on one account, they have me married to my landlord (whose name is Lisa). They are so incompetent...

If you want to see the series finale and / or the 1 hour special before it let me know and I can work out a secrete web thing.

As for comcast, yeah I don't know about you area but I can look if you like, comcast is going to an all digital transmission in many of t heir markets, Chicago is already this way. This has nothing to do with the DTV debacle, they should inform you and switch out your boxes if they are like the old Scientific Atlanta for new small Motorola boxes but they could be behind or this could be something else entirely.
