I had planned on watching the series finale of ER last week. I was excited that I was off work at 7 pm, which would be perfect for coming home and watching the starter festivities. I haven't watched ER much in recent years, but used to be super ERbsessed, so I figured I would wave farewell to it with everyone else.

For some reason, my television no longer gets NBC. Or ABC. Or SciFi. (SyFy? Thanks to Mr. Colbert, I want to call it "skiffy".) Basically, channels 2, 3, 5, 8, and 59. Random, much? I just get an error message reading "This channel will be available shortly." Well, it's been five days now, which is hardly "shortly". I called Comcast, they had me check all the cables, which are all intact. Comcast Guy then says he can send out a tech, which will be $27, unless I sign up for a surge protection plan for $1 a month or somesuch. I told him I would call him back and have just made do without those silly channels.

You would think that since I live literally a half block from Comcast that it would be easy to motivate myself to go there to exchange cable boxes and stuff.

Nope.

I suppose I should stop perusing my friends list and get shoes on and head to work. I can already feel the weird shakiness of sleep dep setting in.

Oy.

I would also like to know what the hell is up with my complexion lately. I'm having flashbacks to my icky acne teenage days.

It's supposed to be 72 degrees today.

Those last two statements are not related, that I know of.
