Bacci doesn't like to give me a lot of room to navigate the innermets.

So much that I need to do today, and so little motivation. I got my laundry as far as downstairs and TO the washer, maybe I'll get around to tossing it in sometime today. Maybe I should do my bedding, too. I'm also dying to get rid of about 80% of what I own, as I never use it. I'm certain that if we all (in this house) did so, the apartment would be much more... livable.

I want a bed.

Currently on hold with SW to do a morning checkup on Mom's status. They certainly have some chipper music for their hold music - it reminds me greatly of the auction house music in Final Fantasy VI.

[after talking to nurse] Apparently her kidney function is a bit better and swelling has gone down a bit. The nurse said that they'll be calling me later in order to set up a conference with her doctors. While every single one of her doctor's that I've met has been absolutely wonderful (and ADORABLE, I'm almost thinking it's a prerequisite to work there), about the only time that they've insisted we have a conference with her army of doctors is when the news generally isn't good.

Here's to hoping that this one is different.

I have one of those swollen taste bud things, where my tongue stings like I sliced it with a knife, yet on close inspection, I just see an enlarged taste bud.

Vacation is coming up in a bit less than two weeks.

Your response, of course, sent me to google to toss in "papillae" into the search. Now I know!

I forgot most of what I learned in my medical vocabulary class. My way of passing tests, you see, is not to study, but to arrive at school an hour before the test and frantically write down everything from my study sheet, which helps me to retain the information long enough to ace the test. Good for grades, not so wonderful for long-term retention. I'm thinking that if/when I return to school, I need to incorporate a bit of a different tactic.

haha perhaps! I just read everything over right before a test, but I have great retention for things I really enjoy. Anything I don't care about goes right out the window in like..half a second.
